Pella windows seals

She asked if I would send a copy of the repair bill to her. I faxed it to her that day. I told her that was a great start, and that I'm still worried about the rest of my windows. She asked me if I still receive feedback from my web site.

I told her I am receiving occasional emails from those who say their Pella Windows have rotted out and they do not know what to do. I told Jenny K.

I would update my site and put in a good word. I cannot afford the expense or tolerate the effort required for what should be a simple, necessary maintenance task. Does anyone know of some way to rescreen a Pella?

Can the frames be modified to eliminate the top-secret corner piece, so that mere mortals CAN replace the screening? Has someone figured out how to replace the screening without disturbing the corner connections? Thanks for any suggestions. Hi Shirleen, We'd be happy to look into this further for you. If you would, please email SocialMedia Pella. We'd be happy to pass this on to our web support team and get you in contact with a Pella representative as soon as possible.

Thank you! I wanted to add that my mom still lives in the home that she and my dad built in They put in all wood Andersen windows and they're still all in excellent condition. They have always painted the exterior and interior. Mom recently had someone strip the exteriors and repaint. They look great. Up at our cabin and here in our year-round home we have wood windows.

The up north windows are stained from moisture on the inside. We painted the exteriors here and have to repaint now. Up north they're aluminum clad on the outside. I used new architectural wood Pella double hung divided lite windows in my renovation. I used them because I needed custom sizes, which other window companies available to me through Direct Buy did not offer in wood frame windows.

I am not familiar with Eagle. I would assume that they are less expensive than Pella. I am very happy with my windows. I did not consider fiberglass or vinyl windows. At that time, I did not know why the window had some discoloration.

I was hoping it was nothing and it never occurred to me that the window was, in fact, leaking. I believe the company, Pella Windows and Doors, was quite aware of this problem and yet they did nothing whatsoever to notify me of it. Overview you are here. It turns out that the rotting wood could have and should have been prevented.

All Pella needed to do was to contact us to tell us that our window seals may fail. Instead, they did nothing.
